Tamarack Biotics’ UV technology reduces dairy ingredient high temperature exposure, so end products should not be heated either, as this will degrade the thermally sensitive immune active proteins, enzymes and growth factors. A few suggested applications include:
- Immune active protein powders – as a stand-alone product or as part of a flavored protein powder product, UV pasteurized protein products can be formulated for addition to shakes, smoothies, pudding and sports drinks.
- Bars – a very convenient protein delivery method as long as the bars are not heated during production.
- Ready to Drink – As all RTD beverages are retorted for safety, which would damage a UV pasteurized product’s thermally sensitive compounds. There are several screw-on cap options such as b*cap®, or the protein powder can be included in a separate sachet attached to the side of the bottle.
